As a Web Developer at Impactaris, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining websites for our small business clients. JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Development: Build and maintain custom, responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
Back-End Integration: Work with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, and develop custom functionalities and plugins when needed.
Performance Optimization: Ensure websites are optimized for speed, security, and search engines, improving site performance and user experience.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues related to website functionality, security, or performance, ensuring that all websites remain up-to-date and running smoothly.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with designers, content creators, and SEO specialists to implement design elements, optimize for SEO, and ensure smooth functionality across all devices.
Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to understand their website needs and ensure that the final product meets their expectations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for a skilled web developer who can build high-performing websites that meet both client and user needs. Formal qualifications in web development or related fields are helpful, but what matters most is your technical skills and ability to deliver top-quality work.
What we’re looking for:
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Experience working with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, including customizing themes and plugins.
A solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with website performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, minification, image compression).
Familiarity with SEO best practices for web development, including site structure, meta tags, and page speed optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
While no formal qualifications are required, the following would be beneficial:
Experience with back-end development, particularly in PHP or other relevant languages.
