Minecraft has launched its first affiliate program with impact.com, allowing approved creators to earn commissions by promoting eligible Minecraft Marketplace content through trackable links.

Minecraft is expanding its creator marketing strategy with the launch of its first affiliate program, giving creators a new way to earn revenue from the content they already share with their communities. The program is powered by impact.com and is designed to help Minecraft manage creator partnerships, track performance, and reward partners who drive purchases through the Minecraft Marketplace.

The move reflects the growing importance of creator-led marketing in gaming, where fan communities, video content, livestreams, and social sharing play a major role in how audiences discover digital products. Minecraft already has one of the strongest creator ecosystems in entertainment, supported by a global fan base and content creators who regularly produce videos, tutorials, gameplay showcases, and custom world experiences.

Through the new program, approved creators receive a unique affiliate link that can be attached to different types of promoted content. This may include website banners, links in social media bios, QR codes in videos, or simple URLs that followers can use to visit the official Minecraft Marketplace. When followers use those links to purchase eligible Marketplace content, creators can earn commissions.

Eligible items include selected skin packs, texture packs, mini-games, adventure maps, and other Marketplace content. According to reporting on the launch, commissions start at 5%, while some categories such as persona items, subscriptions, and full games are not included in the program.

For Minecraft, the affiliate initiative creates a more structured and measurable way to work with creators. Instead of relying only on organic fan content or one-off partnerships, the brand can now connect creator activity directly to marketplace performance. impact.com’s platform also gives Minecraft tools to recruit partners, manage relationships, attribute sales, and provide real-time reporting.

For marketers, Minecraft’s affiliate program highlights a broader shift in creator marketing: brands are increasingly looking for measurable outcomes, not just awareness. In gaming especially, trusted creators can influence discovery, engagement, and purchase behavior in ways that feel natural to their communities.
